I’ve mentioned before that I’m on a bit of of “freebie spree”, and today the first out of the bunch as gone ripe. It’s a small one but doing one offer that only cost me $7 netted me a $50 gift card to GameStop. I even had to request manual credit which usually takes forever, but this time I sent in one message, called once after a week of no updates and a few days later – it’s all good.

Whooo! What a list! Why all the Zunes? Why the heck not?! Tracy would really like one (as the MP3 player she has isn’t all the great) and I wouldn’t mind one either. They’re easy enough to do the offers for (one site is only 3 offers and I think it cost me about $6) the other one – if my card play out – will cost me zip. Can’t complain about that when you’re getting a $250 media player.
So the long wait begins. I just hope they’re a bit faster than before (typical 6-8 weeks) and I don’t run into any approval issues; which I can’t imagine as all my offers are “in progress”.
What am I going to do with all the gift card? Buy games of course! I’m still looking to pick up Assassin’s Creed, COD 4, Burnout 5, maybe Rock Band, maybe Two Worlds, plus whatever else catches my fancy (Halo 3, Bioshock, Naruto, and GH III are all on order).

If you want to find out more I use site such as yourfree360games.com, alwaysfreegifts.com, everyfreegift.com, freegameconsoles.net, yourtopbrands.com, and checkoutpath.net. I also started $1000 Visa gift card over at YourTopBrands.com (only 4 offers – and I probably spent about $15). Another site I look to for info is scam.com in their Internet forum. A good place to start as well.

How do you begin an offer with checkoutpath.net? Whenever I go there, I don’t see a place to create an account. Any tips?

You have to start from an offer page. There’s no “global account”. You pick a gift and go.
Actually, how I got there was via the site unclaimedlayaway.com. And here’s the trick; once you get there, you’ll see a bar of text under the signup area listing 5 or 6 other gifts. Keep refreshing the page till you find one you like and then go for it. You’ll end up at CheckOutPath once you’re done.

Ok, so I signed up for a Zune on checkoutpath.net, via the method you suggested. After entering my info, I was taken to the offers pages. I did the one offer on page 1, and 2 offers on page 2. Now what? Will they email me? I’ve tried checking my status on their site, but my email address doesn’t show up in their database. Do I just need to give it a day?
