Reflescent Tide found on “The Ultimate Rock Album”?
I was just perusing around on Amazon.com looking up my old band Reflescent Tide (Google search) and after seeing our first two albums (self titled & Spring Catalog) listed I noticed a compilation called Solid Rock: The Ultimate Rock Album.
This was surprising because I had no idea our music was being used in this way. After disbanding in ’97 and the record company that signed us, Rugged Records, closed it’s doors, I have no idea who holds our music. But to be included with the likes of Christian rock greats like Petra, Bride, Jars of Clay, etc… it’s pretty cool. For the most part we weren’t very well known to the general public but our music was well received within the industry.
From what I know this is the list of albums we can be found on:
- Reflescent Tide (self titled)
- Spring Catalog
- Monuments and Markers (self released – very limited copies – mostly between the band and friends)
- The Mother of All Tribute Albums (compilation)
- Solid Rock (compilation)
- Rugged Cuts (compilation)
- Social Commentary (compilation)
Fun stuff and great memories. One of these days I need to get our video transfered and posted on YouTube or something.

Funny.. I was doing a google search for Reflescent Tide today and ended up here. I first heard you guys on a sampler CD under a different band name. The song was something like “World Gone Black.” It was easily the best song on the sampler. I actually wrote to JP asking for lyrics and he sent me a demo tape of the S/T album before it was released – awesome – and gave me a shout out on the CD liner notes (though my last name was mangled to “Walkons”).

Wow… thanks for the visit. You found me, JP. Sorry about mangling your name in the liner. World Gone Black is the name of the song on R.E.X.’s Demolition II CD and we were going by the name Thorn Crown at the time.
