My old band’s one and only real music video. Shot during the recording of our second album “Spring Catalog” in 1997.

Tracy and I went out for dinner the other night to Red Lobster and had a great feast; lobster, crab legs, shrimp… yummy! Afterwords we stopped by a second-hand media store. I’m on the hunt for some Trouble Cd’s and thought I’d pop in to see if they had any (of which they had none – they’re pretty rare).

While browsing around I saw both my old band’s – Reflescent Tide – Cd’s sitting there on the shelf. I had mixed emotions about seeing them there. How could someone get rid of those Cd’s?! I mean… I think they’re pretty dang good. Granted they’re 10 years old now but sill… On the other hand, the previous owner probably has them dumped to his/her hard drive and has no need of the CD. Oh well. I hope the next owner finds some enjoyment out of them.

I was just perusing around on Amazon.com looking up my old band Reflescent Tide (Google search) and after seeing our first two albums (self titled & Spring Catalog) listed I noticed a compilation called Solid Rock: The Ultimate Rock Album.

This was surprising because I had no idea our music was being used in this way. After disbanding in ’97 and the record company that signed us, Rugged Records, closed it’s doors, I have no idea who holds our music. But to be included with the likes of Christian rock greats like Petra, Bride, Jars of Clay, etc… it’s pretty cool. For the most part we weren’t very well known to the general public but our music was well received within the industry.

From what I know this is the list of albums we can be found on:

• Reflescent Tide (self titled)
• Spring Catalog
• Monuments and Markers (self released – very limited copies – mostly between the band and friends)
• The Mother of All Tribute Albums (compilation)
• Solid Rock (compilation)
• Rugged Cuts (compilation)
• Social Commentary (compilation)

Fun stuff and great memories. One of these days I need to get our video transfered and posted on YouTube or something.
